How To Disable Automatic Call Recordings on Dialpad Without Losing Transcriptions

 

Only Super Admins can update the automatic call recording settings. Please request this with your Team Administrator for any changes.

As a Dialpad user, ensure that Dialpad AI is toggled on to activate transcriptions during calls.

Log into the Admin Portal  (Super Admin Access)

  1. Open your web browser and log in to your Dialpad Admin account. https://dialpad.com/settings
  2. Navigate to the Admin Settings menu.  
  3. On the Office Settings, scroll down to find Office-Wide Settings.
  4. Navigate to the section Making Calls
  5. Locate the toggle for "Enable Automatic Call Recordings".
  6. Turn off the setting by switching the toggle Off or unchecking the box. This will disable automatic call recording for both incoming and outgoing calls.


User-Level Access for Transcription

  1. Open your web browser and log in to your Dialpad Admin account. https://dialpad.com/settings
  2. From your Dialpad settings, click on AI settings
  3. Toggle the switch under Dialpad AI to enable call transcriptions for live or active calls.

 

Note: Dialpad users can still manually enable call recording during live calls by clicking the recording button located at the bottom right of each call.
