The Jabra Evolve 2 65 UC is a high-quality wireless headset designed for professionals, offering clear sound and comfort for long calls. This guide will walk you through setting up your Jabra Evolve 2 65 UC with Dialpad, ensuring it pairs correctly, and educating you on the Jabra Direct software, which is key to optimising your device and ensuring your Dialpad Ai transcription quality.

What's in the Box?

Before you start, make sure you have all the parts included in your Jabra Evolve 2 65 UC package:

The Jabra headset you received includes a USB adapter (dongle) that needs to be plugged into your computer for automatic pairing with the headset. If you're experiencing sound issues with Jabra on Dialpad, this may be the cause.

  • Wireless range up to 100 ft/30m (note: EMI can affect this)

  • Easy updates via Jabra Direct for "over the air" software updates

1. Charge the Headset

Before pairing, ensure your headset is charged. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the headset and the other end into a power source. Allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.

2. Install Jabra Direct (Important)

Why it's important: Jabra Direct is essential for managing device settings, firmware updates, and ensuring optimal performance. It helps you configure your headset, update the firmware, and fix any connectivity issues.

  • Go to the Jabra Direct download page.

  • Choose the correct version for your operating system (Windows or Mac).

  • Install the software by following the on-screen instructions.

Firmware updates allows Jabra to ensure your headset is always on the latest version which fixes bugs or issues related to computer or app version updates.

3. Connect the USB Bluetooth Adapter

  • Plug the USB Bluetooth adapter into an available USB port on your computer (if your computer doesn't support Bluetooth natively). This adapter helps the headset connect to your computer.

4. Turn on the Headset

  • Press the power button on the right earcup of the Jabra Evolve 2 65 headset to turn it on. The headset will enter pairing mode automatically.

5. Pair with Your Computer

  • If you're using the Bluetooth adapter:

    • The headset will automatically pair with the USB Bluetooth adapter after turning it on.

  • If you're pairing directly with your computer’s built-in Bluetooth:

    • Go to Bluetooth settings on your computer.

    • Select Jabra Evolve 2 65 from the list of available devices.

Once paired, the headset will show as “Connected.”

If you’re having trouble with pairing, try the following:

  • Restart both the headset and your computer to reset the Bluetooth connection.

  • Update the headset firmware using Jabra Direct to ensure you have the latest software for your headset.

  • Try using a different USB port for the Bluetooth adapter, or connect the adapter directly to your computer rather than a USB hub.

  • Go to Advanced Sound Settings and in the app list you will find Dialpad make sure that it is set to your Jabra Link 380 and go back to Sound Settings then click on Sound Control Panel and in the Communications tab select Do Nothing and click on Apply then OK
