Steps to Set Up Dialpad HubSpot V2 Integration

Who can use this feature?

This feature is currently in an Early Adopter Program and is not yet available to all users.

Only users with admin access in both Dialpad and HubSpot can set up and connect the integration.

Please ensure that all users are using the same email address for both their Dialpad and HubSpot accounts to avoid connection issues.

 

Steps:

1. Check Hubspot User Permissions & Connect Integration

2. Confirm Hubspot V2 is Installed

3. Enable Activities in Hubspot (for Each User)

4. Each Dialpad User Connects their Hubspot Account

 

1. Check Hubspot User Permissions & Connect Integration

All required permissions must be granted before users can successfully connect to HubSpot V2. Missing any of these will prevent proper integration.

 

Ensure the following permissions are enabled for all users:

 

CRM > CRM Objects:

  • Contacts: View and Edit

  • Companies: View and Edit

  • Deals: View and Edit

  • Tickets: View and Edit

  • Tasks: View and Edit

 

Account > Settings Access:

  • Edit property settings

  • App marketplace access

 

 

Once permissions are confirmed:

  • Go to the Dialpad Admin Portal at dialpad.com/officesettings

  • Enable HubSpot V2 integration for your office, click on Options Manage Settings

 

  • Tick Enable this feature, and turn on features required then click on Save changes on the top right.
  • Go back to Integrations and click Options next to Hubspot V2 and click Connect

 

2. Confirm Hubspot V2 is Installed

In HubSpot, navigate to:
Settings > Account Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps

 

Ensure Dialpad for HubSpot V2 appears in the list.

IF NOT, 

  • Go to the App Marketplace

  • Search for Dialpad for HubSpot V2

  • Click Install

 

3. Enable Activities in Hubspot (for Each User)

Each user must activate all activity tracking options in both Contact and Company records.

 

For Contact Records:

  • Search for any contact.

  • In the Overview tab, click All activities.

  • ✅ Tick all checkboxes in the dropdown to display all activity types.

For Company Records:

  • Search for any company.

  • In the Activities tab, click All activities.

  • ✅ Again, tick all checkboxes in the dropdown.

4. Each Dialpad User Connects their Hubspot Account

Once:

  • All required permissions are set,

  • HubSpot V2 is enabled in Dialpad,

  • And HubSpot V2 is installed,

 

Each user can now connect their individual accounts.

 

To connect your HubSpot account in Dialpad:

  1. Open the Dialpad desktop app.

  2. Use the Search Bar (top center) to find any HubSpot contact.

  3. Click on the contact’s name.

  4. On the right-hand widget panel, locate HubSpot V2.

  5. Click Connect HubSpot V2 and follow the prompts.

Important Reminders:

  • Only your Hubspot and Dialpad admins can connect the integration
  • All users must have the correct Hubspot permissions set for the integration to work seamlessly
  • All users have to turn on Hubspot V2 Contact and Company activities to view logged interactions
  • All users have to connect Hubspot V2 from their Dialpad app
  • All Hubspot Contact Records must have properties for mobile and landline phone numbers in the E.164 format
